Direct  Hire Job Title: Controls Engineer
Location: Oregon, OH AreaSalary Range: $90,000 - $105,000
Responsibilities: As a Controls Engineer, you will be integral to our team, working towards becoming an internal subject matter expert in control systems, including Allen Bradley PLC, Siemens PLC, HMI, Motion Control Systems, and more.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Applying expertise in electronics, electrical circuits, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and programming to enhance existing production equipment and processes.
  • Collaborating with planning, corporate engineering, and design staff to optimize product design and tooling for efficient production methods.
  • Coordinating with vendors to determine product specifications, arrange equipment/material purchases, and evaluate products against quality standards.
  • Applying statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential improvements.
  • Conducting assessments of work areas, making recommendations for enhanced throughput, inventory management, and reduced operating expenses.
  • Directing manufacturing methods using throughput, inventory, and operating expense as guiding metrics.
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives, reorganizing workflows, and participating in new product and equipment launches.
  • Completing other assigned duties to support team goals.
Requirements:
Experience:
  • 2-5 years of experience in analyzing and diagnosing automation problems.
  • Proficiency in application software programming.
  • Fundamental understanding of electrical design practices, machine/motion control systems, electro-mechanical systems, robotics, programming, and system integration.
  • 2-5 years of experience with computer programming languages.
  • 2-5 years of experience with industrial robotics, primarily ABB & Fanuc.
  • 2-5 years of experience with automation control systems, specifically Siemens & Allen Bradley PLCs.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or better in Engineering or a related field.
