SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Custodian for a well-known client in Mundelein, IL. As a Custodian, you will clean buildings, remove debris (indoors and outdoors), and keep areas in orderly condition.

Available shifts include: 2nd shift Monday-Friday, 2:00pm-10:30pm. This is a temporary position for a few months.
Custodian Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform general cleaning of the facility such as cleaning floors by vacuuming and buffing, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, emptying trash receptacles and replacing lining of trash cans
• Clean and service restrooms with mops and disinfectants
• Clean equipment as assigned
• Restock supplies
• Dispose of waste and scrap properly
• Perform routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk
• Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours
• Assist maintenance department when required
• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
Custodian Requirements and Qualifications:
• Perform work under minimal supervision
• Handle basic issues and problems and refer complex issues to higher-level staff
• 0 to 1 year of experience• Ability to interpret work instructions, and follow written and verbal directions
• Basic verbal and written communication skills
• Self-direction, physical stamina, and ability to lift/move heavy objects
