Job Description
SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Shipping/Receiving Clerks for a large, well-known client in Lake Zurich, IL. As a Shipping/Receiving Clerk, for SURESTAFF, you will work in a fast-paced distribution environment and be involved in all aspects of warehouse operations including: - Shipping & Receiving
- Quality Assurance
- Inventory Control
SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($17) for 1st shift and ($19/hr) for 2nd shift as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).
Available shifts include: (1st shift 6am-7:30pm) or (2nd shift 2pm-10:30pm) Mon-Fri
Responsibilities of the Shipping/Receiving Clerk: - Ensure that materials received are properly processed and/or sorted, packed, and stored for future shipping.
- Compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Expedite shipments: Determines labeling requirements including but not limited to preparing and affixing shipping labels on packed cartons, skids or other storage devised in an accurate manner including any special labels that are customer required.
- Prepare all shipping documents in a timely and accurate manner.
- Post weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
Required Qualifications of Shipping/Receiving Clerk:- Must be able to comprehend simple, sometimes detailed, oral and written instructions.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and uninvolved oral instructions.
