SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Welders for a large, well-known client in Roselle, IL. Ideal applicants should have experience welding, with welding processes and various grinding tools. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! Available shifts include Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm. Duties and Responsibilities-Perform difficult and unusual hand welding operations (MIG, TIG, arc, etc.) on different metals and alloys. -Select and regulate equipment for proper penetration and fusion of metals. -Maintain knowledge required to fuse metals, obtain maximum weld strength and avoid distortion.-Read blueprints, work orders, and production schedules.
-Maintain a clean and organized work environment using 5S guidelines
-Verify poles and fitters are straight and level and are the correct height before welding them.
-Verify that all add-ons (PMs, ballast brackets, GFIs) are in the proper orientation.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications-High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent-Previous welding experience-Ability to use and read tape measures, simple dimensional drawings, and blueprints-Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and Excel-Comfortable standing, walking, sitting, etc. for long periods of time, and climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling-Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
