SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for a Bilingual Team Lead for a large distribution center located in Elgin, IL. The Bilingual Team Lead will supervise daily operations of the warehouse including receiving incoming shipments, sorting & transferring materials, and preparing shipments for outbound delivery. The successful applicant will maintain display high levels of professionalism, lead and develop a team of warehouse associates, and maintain constant communication with warehouse leadership at all times. The Warehouse Lead will be required to meet key performance metrics as well as manage team to hit KPIs. This person will work together with other departments and management to maximize productivity in the facility, ensure associates receive proper training and mentorship, and manage hiring/scheduling to ensure that team is properly staffed at all times. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All direct hire employees are offered competitive compensation $19-$21/HR as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shifts include:1st Shift. 6-2:30pm or 8-5pm. Responsibilities of the Bilingual Team Lead:
Direct the development and implementation of activities in warehouse areas to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives.
Keep the management team informed of all pertinent information and developments.
Responsible for ensuring all employees adhere to Company policies, practices and safety guidelines.
Ability to adjust to changing needs of a fast-paced distribution environment.
Initiate disciplinary action with management and HR when warranted.
Provide input for employee performance evaluations.
Ensure that required inventories are available and ready for distribution.
Keep track of tools and equipment that are needed to assemble the unit as well as keep tools and equipment in good working order.
Ensure all preventative maintenance is performed on all equipment and tools as required.
Active with troubleshooting and continual improvement of process
Foster employee empowerment and lean thinking – be a leader within the 5S program.
Recommend and distribute overtime per company policy.
Generate and enforce rotation schedule.
Develop a strong working relationship with the warehouse staff to ensure timely and consistent communication and understanding of both floor and plant issues.
Qualifications of the Bilingual Team Lead:
Ability to work as a team with all members of the cell, as well as able to work independently.
Adhere to and enforce safety requirements.
Able to read schedules, bill of materials and customer order forms.
Ability to lead up to 30 people in a fast-paced manufacturing environment required
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
High School Diploma or equivalent, plus 2-5 years’ experience in fast-paced manufacturing, fulfillment, or distribution environment.
