Job Description

The world's second-largest supplier of acoustic and trim products has a great opportunity for a Process Engineer to join their team in Fremont, OH.
Salary is based on the level of experience and quality of the interview ($80-110K).Work day typically begins at 7 am and it is a union facility.
Sponsorship is not offered now or in the future. Relocation is not offered
What you will do
  • Coordinates development of new and replacement programs; tooling and processes ahead of launch requirements.
  • Interfaces with customers and Corporate Engineering groups to provide required resources and support for launch activities.
  • Provides support for design engineering changes on new and existing programs.
  • Dedicated to new launches; determines the timing of turnover to Program Engineers.
  • Performs, develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.
  • Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
  • Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
  • Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
  • Examines, plans and specifications for new machinery or equipment to determine if all safety precautions have been included.
  • Inspect fire and safety equipment, machinery, and facility to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations for new work cells.
  • Any additional reasonable request deemed necessary by management

What is required
  • Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering or related technical experience with a minimum of four (4) years in a Manufacturing Environment or a combination of schooling and experience.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and activities simultaneously
  • Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail
  • Knowledge of safety and quality
  • Engineering processes experience
  • Cross-functional experience
  • LEAN experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Hydraulics/pneumatics experience
  • Material conveyance experience
  • Good communication skills and ability to interface on all levels of operation
  • Able to work well in a team environment
