SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for a detail-oriented Food Lab Assistantfor a Manufacturing company in Midlothian TX. A successful food Lab Assistant should have excellent troubleshooting skills, have experience inspecting product in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment, and be able to ensure that product consistently meets quality standards and guidelines. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire. Available shifts include 1st 5am-3:30pm. Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis. Responsibilities of the Food Lab Assistant:
Prepares food samples.
Collects and receives samples of raw materials used in production that are under the purview of the Food Lab.
Processes samples for testing in the Food lab as well as submits them for testing by additional labs.
Performs occasional testing on finished food and dietary supplement products.
Assists in documentation and archiving, and in managing reference materials and retainer samples.
Assists with processing vendor qualifications.
Maintains equipment logs, cleans and manages glassware, and assists in keeping the lab clean and organized.
Follows Good Laboratory Practices and current Good Manufacturing Practices
Assist with Product Claim substantiation documentation.
Required Qualifications of the Food Lab Assistant:
1+ years’ experience in quality control, quality assurance, inspections, or a similar role.
3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with quality systems and controls.
