SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for an experienced Industrial Set Up- Line Mechanic for a large, established client located in Elgin, IL. The Industrial Set Up- Line Mechanic will ensure that equipment and machinery are working at optimal efficiency to produce and manufacture products safely and on time.
This position will perform electrical, mechanical duties which involve replacing, repairing, and cleaning equipment and/or component parts.

Available shifts include:
1st shift 6a-2:30p
Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis.
*Candidates MUST have their own tools* Responsibilities of the Industrial Machine Mechanic:
• Make adjustments to machinery when necessary to improve performance.
• Set up machinery and equipment according to instructions.
• Troubleshoot minor issues.
• Perform quality control, follow reporting and record keeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor.
• Comply with all safety and health regulations.
• Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area.
• Focus on quality improvement and root cause analysis.
• support machine operators during their production and trouble shoot areas in production.
• Report all areas of concern to managers.
• Focus on monthly and daily safety topics to help reduce risks.
• Get involved in production requirements and the goals to minimize scrap.
• Assist in training new operators in the operations of equipment.
Preferred Qualifications of the Industrial Machine Mechanic:
• Previous machine operating experience in manufacturing facility, or similar relevant experience desirable.
• Knowledge of CNC machines; adjusting tool offsets, mounting tool holders, taking tool offsets, mounting fixtures, understanding of inspection report.
• Minimum knowledge of (TS/ISO14001) systems.
• Understand how to use/read measuring equipment (ex. micrometer, Vernier/digital caliper).
• Willingness to learn and is seeking to advance.
• Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations in different units of measurement.
