SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Material Handlers for a large, well-known client in Aurora, IL. As a Material Handler, you will be an essential part of our client’s core operations, ensuring that quality product is received, processed, and delivered in a timely manner according to client expectations.
SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($18.75/HR). A benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision) is also available.
2nd shift: 2:00pm-10:30pm
Responsibilities of the Material Handler:-Load, unload, move, count/pick, stack and stage product and materials using a sit down or stand-up forklift, performing other material handling as required -Accurately pull and prepare product for use in production or for shipment -Responsible for filling out all documentation correctly and clearly -Inspect all materials during picking, shipping and receiving to ensure product number accuracy and material is free of damage, reporting any discrepancies -Keep accurate records and reports to ensure tight inventory control and security is maintained. Assist in physical inventories -Coordinate as necessary with all other departments/functions, especially customer service, transportation, and maintenance -Inspect any assigned equipment on a daily basis. -Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications of the Material Handler:-At least 3 months or more of sit down, stand up, or reach forklift experience-1+ years of manufacturing/distribution experience-Previous experience using RF scanners preferred-Ability to read, write, and communicate in English-Comfortable lifting up to 55 lbs. -Oral and written communication skills are essential-Good judgment and decision-making abilities
