SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for aTruck Tote Loader~ Material Handler with(mixing, batching & compounding) experince for our client’s chemical manufacturing plant in Garland, TX. The Truck Tote Loader~ Material Handler is responsible for Loading finished product tote bins, be mechanically inclined and have forklift driving experience both standup & sit-down. Position will entail both sitting and standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 50 pounds throughout the shift. Successful applicants will be very detail-oriented and able to work with little supervision. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! Available shifts include Thursday - Sunday-Friday 9:45pm-6:15am(possible Saturday work as needed) Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis. Must be flexible within their job duties/schedule. Responsibilities of the Truck Tote Loader~ Material Handler:
Package finished product in tote bins.
Relocate and store totes utilizing forklift.
Transfer product via pipeline
Connecting and disconnecting hoses
Filtering product during transfer
Operate mechanical equipment to successfully transfer product.
Utilize personal protective equipment to properly handle materials.
Perform routine emptying of waste receptacles.
Perform routine cleaning of production area utilizing a pressure.
Scaling in and spotting bulk tank trucks
Connecting hoses for loading and transferring product
Calculating the amount of product that is to be loaded.
Sampling the product and observing the loading process
Disconnecting the hoses and scaling out the truck
General department housekeeping
General housekeeping and clean-up as needed.
Preferred Qualifications of the Truck Tote Loader~ Material Handler
Standup & Sit-down experience
Material Handling
Knowledge of Cycle Count and Inventory
Knowledge and experience working with chemicals and/or chemical compounding.
Previous experience in a production environment.
Basic mathematical skills, experience with the metrics system.
1 year of Relatable experience
Aptitude for working in a rigorous environment.
Performing problem solving actions properly and safely
Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
Ability to wear a respirator as part of required PPE for certain job tasks.
Familiar with manufacturing and safety precautions in manufacturing.
Minimum of 1 year forklift experience
Able to work in non airconditioned production warehouse.
Flexible with hours/ schedule
Be attentive to work details.
Reliable transportation to and from work
Clean shaven face
Physical Requirements:
This position requires significant physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, and climbing stairs for the duration of your scheduled shifts.
Sitting long periods of time while operating forklift truck- standup & sit-down
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
