SURESTAFF is hiring an experienced Accounting Specialist for a client in Spring Grove, IL. The Accounting Specialist will lead and complete activities supporting AR, AP, Credit, Banking, Cash Management, General Ledger, and Office Management. Also, will identify, communicate, and recommend solutions for all areas of responsibility, including assessing and evaluating the status and health of the focus areas. Additionally, will prepare and communicate financial reports to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($24/hr.) per hour depending on experience as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shifts include:1st Shift 7:30 AM. - 4:00 PM. Responsibilities of the Accounting Specialist:
Create and distribute invoices electronically or on paper in house and on customer systems
Enter credit and debit memos in the accounting system
Establish and maintain customer accounts including customer tax forms
Calculate and process sales commissions
Investigate and evaluate the creditworthiness of customers
Recommend and implement customer credit hold actions
Process cash receipts
Review and analyze aging accounts; recommend action(s)
Communicate with customer representatives regarding account status and collection
Accounts Payable
General Ledger / Financials
Office Management
Preferred Qualifications of the Accounting Specialist:
Education and/or Experience: Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent. Experience performing similar tasks is required, and in a similar work environment is beneficial.
Mathematical Skills: Must be able to draw reasonable conclusions about numerical information, count accurately, add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Skills & Abilities: Must demonstrate high attention to detail. Must be able to effectively communicate findings and recommendations with peers and supervisor in verbal or written format. Must be able to effectively prioritize activities to support business needs.
