SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Advanced Assemblers (Manufacturing) for a large, well-known client in Spring Grove, IL. As an Advanced Assembler, you will be an essential part of our client’s core operations, ensuring that quality product is produced and assembled. The Advanced Assembler will use hands and light tools to assemble complex electrical wiring harnesses and cable assemblies. Performs tasks in the areas of lead preparation, harness/cable assembly and testing. Operates terminal application machines and may do light soldering/tinning. Works under direct supervision of a line supervisor. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp to hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($18/hr.) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).
Available Shifts:1ST shift Monday-Friday 6:30 am.-3:00 pm.
Responsibilities of the Advanced Assembler (Manufacturing):
Selection, placement, and formation of wire leads on harness form-boards.
Soldering wires to electrical components using a handheld soldering iron.
Selection, placement, and formation of wire leads on harness form-boards.
Application of cable tie fasteners using hand-held manual and pneumatically operated tools. These tools may require squeezing and/or trigger operation.
Must have the ability to follow diagrams/print/drawings for complex assemblies.
Must be able to take measurements of strip length of the wire/cable.
Application of various types of insulating tubing over wires and related operations such as application of electrical tape or heat shrinking using a heat gun.
Crimping of electrical terminals onto wires using a variety of hand tools.
Plugging terminated wires into connector housings. This requires the identification of the proper connector cavity, pushing of terminated wire into cavity, and pulling on wire to verify proper retention.
Use of simple hand tools such as wire cutting pliers, long nose pliers, wire strippers, manual, pneumatic, and electric screwdrivers to assemble electrical components.
Testing of completed wiring harnesses. This involves connection of the harness to a test fixture, proper interpretation of good/bad test indicator.
Miscellaneous other assembly duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Required Qualifications of the Advanced Assembler (Manufacturing):
Must have the ability to follow diagrams/blueprints/drawings for complex assemblies
Ability to read measurements to 1/32.
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Must be able to take measurements of the wire/Cable/strip lengths
Must be able to see small objects and detail oriented
Complex assembly experience.
Ability to see and differentiate colors
