SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Advanced Machine Operators for a client in Cary, IL. The Advanced Machine Operator is responsible for slitting material to support press, lamination, and pouch departments. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp to hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($17-22/hr) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shifts: 1st shift: 6am-2:30pm M-F2nd shift: 2pm-10:30pm M-F Responsibilities of the Advanced Machine Operator:
Make and interpret measurements with a standard ruler to 1/16 of an inch (must pass a pre-employment ruler test)
Safely and effectively operates thermoforming equipment to produce quality product
Reads job specifications and previous run data (if available) to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. Ensures job is in order prior to machine set-up.
Performs required quality testing on products produced.
Observes machine operation to detect piece defects or machine malfunction. Makes corrections to alleviate out of specification product.
Mixes adhesives as required ensuring that formulas are mixed according to specifications.
Performs viscosity checks and record results every half hour on the proper form.
Installs primary and secondary roll stock ensuring that the correct side is loaded to receive the coating and that the rolls are properly aligned side to side
Required Qualifications of the Advanced Machine Operator:
2+ years' of mechanical (working on cars, taking machines apart, etc.)
1+ years of manufacturing/operator experience a plus
Previous ISO experience in a manufacturing or light industrial environment preferred
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Ability to be on your feet and stand/walk for your entire shift.
Must be able to tolerate chemicals and occasional strong odors.
