POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Transportation Supervisor provides quality assistance to the Transportation Supervisor to ensure daily operations are always within the standards of the company. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Dispatches buses on various routes based on school schedules.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the ERP HR solution.
  • Provides classroom, range and road training to transportation employees and emergency road assistance to drivers.
  • Performs office work including the creation of written reports; communicates to administration, parents, and teachers.
  • Oversee the data collection and reporting activities in support of the HR function and HR customers.
  • Maintains and updates dispatch system and school bus schedules for safe pick up and drop off students in the morning and evenings.
  • Assists with supervision and performance evaluations of bus drivers and monitors; coordinating training for safety, new hires, special needs policies and managing parental complaints; collaborates and assists with the development; monitoring and evaluation of bus routes.
  • Verifies time and attendance records and maintains timesheets.
  • May be required to transport students to and from school and other events to ensure operations run smoothly.
  • Determines the feasible aid in coordinating with youth services to determine the transportation for special needs students.
  • Investigates accidents and files reports under direct supervision.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
  • Required to attend scheduled shift during regular business hours as mandated.

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
  • Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and Passenger Endorsement
  • Georgia Commercial Driver's License
 WORK EXPERIENCE:
Two (2) years of full-time work experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
  • Written and oral communication.
  • Listening.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Ability to apply established technology solutions.
  • Ability to work with internal and external customers.
