SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for an experienced Brake Press Operator for a large manufacturing client located in Irving, TX. This position will manufacture parts per blueprint, or process instruction, ensuring all specifications are met. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp- perm employees are offered competitive compensation $18.00 as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shifts: Monday-Friday 7am-4pm Responsibilities of the Brake Press Operator:
Set up and operate Trumpf Press Brake Measure materials and equipment using tape measures, calipers and protractors as needed
Set up tooling stations per the provided set-up plan
Make angle corrections to ensure final product is correct
Wear appropriate PPE including safety glasses, face shields, gloves, hardhat, dust masks etc.
Move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards
Assemble items as instructed by department supervisor
Keep work area clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities
Follow all company rules and policies
Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
Follow all safety rules and quality standards
Work with your department team to maximize productivity and efficiency
May have to prepare product for shipment
Lift materials, final products and items packed for shipment manually (up to 60 pounds)
Uphold all OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Preferred Qualifications of the Brake Press Operator:
Must have Press Brake Experience, preferably on a CNC controlled press brake, Trumpf equipment experience preferred
Able to read and interpret documents furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, quality manuals and procedure manuals
Knowledge of angles and how to make angle corrections
Must be able to listen, read, write and communicate effectively
Must have basic mathematical skills
Ability to lift heavy items up to 60 pounds
Ability to identify and measure material
Ability to produce quality products consistently
Ability to follow instruction given both verbally and in written form
Willingness to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities as well as dependable work ethic
Ability to multitask and prioritize
Familiarity with metric system
