Buyer- Direct Hire Position
SureStaff is seeking a Buyer for our effective manufacturing lighting solutions client in Roselle, IL. As the Buyer you will administer the purchasing of materials, components, equipment, supplies, and services according to approved specifications at the most favorable cost consistent with quality, quantity, and availability. You will analyze market trends to determine timing and extent of purchasing commitments.

- Minimum of 3 years of Buying experience in a manufacturing setting
Essential Functions of the job:- Purchase material and services.
- Expedite for timely receipt of goods and services.
- Help meet our customer ship dates.
- Negotiate least possible costs for goods and services.
- Help evaluate suppliers.
- Manage incoming freight for your vendors striving for best value.
- Expeditious return of all over stock and defective material to vendors, insuring inventory and credit are done properly.
- Answer questions and help solve problems for in house customers.
- Reconcile accounts payable discrepancies in a timely fashion.
- Maintain PO delivery dates in system working with scheduling and customer service on changes.
- Maintain accurate Part Maintenance information for parts assigned to you with regards to pricing, lead times, safety stock, buy quantities, blanket orders, part descriptions and suppliers.
- Buy MRO items for shop and office when required, shopping for best possible value.
- Communicate all issues and concerns appropriate and vital to above mentioned items.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
