Job Description
SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for an experienced CNC Programmer for a large manufacturing client located in Chicago, IL. This position will manufacture parts per blueprint, or process instruction, ensuring all specifications are met. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! Pay: $50k - $80kAvailable shifts: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm Duties and Responsibilities of the CNC Programmer:
Developing programs to control machinery for the processing of parts by automatic and semi-automatic machine tool by converting project and customer specifications into functional machine code.
Translate the requirements of detailed part drawings into measurements for production
Perform proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories to be used on projects
Ensure that every machine procedure is done in accordance with the strict guidelines of the company
Follow all company safety protocol
Inspect the work area and machines that were used during the day prior to leaving at the end of each shift
Attend and actively participate in training classes and safety sessions
Qualifications of the CNC Programmer:
Knowledge of Sheet Metal Layout and Flat Pattern Creation.
Knowledge of AutoCAD or other CAD software to efficiently create, dimension and produce drawings.
Knowledge of Sigmanest, Pro-Nest, or other CAM software.
Knowledge of Excel to configure and edit machine code settings.
