SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Coating Machine Operators for a client in the Cary, IL. The Coating Machine Operator is responsible for operating converting machines to produce quality products, inspecting product to ensure it meets customer specifications during the production process, and packs product accordingly. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp to hire employees are offered competitive compensation $18-$22/hr. as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire. Available shifts include:
2nd shift – 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis. Responsibilities of the Machine Operator:
Operates and ensures machine is operating at the highest quality level.
Follows schedule specifically for run order of all jobs.
Monitors quality of products continuously.
Responsible for all paperwork required for each order.
Directs and monitors coating machine helpers.
Supports and supervises helper to place color-coded flags with changes on the roll.
Safely uses a forklift in accordance with company policy to move product and expedite work.
Aware of safety procedures and preventative maintenance checks required prior to operating a forklift.
Provides material pulls sheets for upcoming jobs o material handlers.
Checks basis weight of adhesive being applied at the end of each roll.
Ensures that rolls are labeled before putting into inventory.
Completes a daily house keeping log sheet each day and turns it in.
Notifies production supervisor in advance of requests for the department.
Additional duties as requested/assigned.
Required Qualifications of the Machine Operator:
Must pass our pre-employment Reading and Ruler tests.
Must be able to measure and interpret measurements up to 1/16 of an inch with a standard ruler (must pass a pre-employment ruler test)
1+ year of Lamination Machine or Coating Machine experience using solvent and solvent-less adhesives and/or training.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively communicate and share knowledge with others.
Previous ISO experience in a manufacturing or light industrial environment, preferred.
Ability to lift up to 65 lbs;
Must be able to tolerate chemicals and occasional strong odors.
