Milwaukee Area- (New Berlin Location) Direct Hire First Shift ($38-$40 per hr)
We are looking for a Direct Hire Controls Engineer/Technician with automation control technician experience that can maintain, modify, and repair electrical controls for existing and new automated machinery.  These controls include but are not limited to Robotics (Denso & Fanuc), Vision Inspection (Keyence & Cognex), PLC’s (Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi) HMI, stepper motors, and servo motors.
This company has a great culture with a wonderful benefit package.This is first shift position; hours are typically from 6:30AM-3:00PM M-F but can be flexible.Range is based on experience and on the quality of the interview in relation to the job description but we are targeting 40/hr. as this is a Non-Exempt Role that will include Overtime for anything over 40 hours worked in a work week.
Need someone with working significant skills, accomplishments and experience in the 3-5 year range but will take someone with less experience if the showcase the correct schooling and skills we are looking for. Conducting Interviews this week for Onsite Interviews Next week.

Maintain, modify, and repair electrical controls for existing and new automated machinery.  These controls include but are not limited to Robotics (Denso & Fanuc), Vision Inspection (Keyence & Cognex), PLC’s (Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi) HMI, stepper motors, and servo motors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

•    Troubleshoot problems with equipment controls and test systems by observing automated systems in operation to determine causes of trouble.

•    Analyzes and adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.  Ability to utilize computers to interface with PLCs, HMI, vision systems, motion control, etc.

•    Utilize electrical schematics to trouble shoot automation control electrical panel to determine system integrity.

•    Modify PLC ladder logic, vision system programs, etc., to satisfy station design hardware modifications.

•    Troubleshoot & modify (touch-up) path points on robotic part handling.

•    As needed – may assist with wiring the control systems from start to finish. Must comply with the National Electric Code.

•    Analyzes work orders, blueprints, and schematics to determine work to be performed.

•    Verifies proper start up sequences of all equipment to avoid personal injury and property damage.

•    Troubleshoots all circuits and programs to verify functionality.

•    Incorporate OSHA approved guarding and safety devices for personnel and equipment.

•    Provides support to other functions such as Maintenance, Reliability and Engineering.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or related technical degree is preferred. Related technical training with 3 to 5 years machine control experience is also acceptable.
Experience with Rockwell Automation hardware and software is also preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other employees at all levels of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Should have the ability to solve applicable mathematical equations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

EQUIPMENT USED
Computer, multimeter, oscilloscope, gauges, precision measuring equipment, hand power tools, and various hand tools.


PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED
PPE requirements may vary depending on tasks performed.  Long hair must be tied back at all times.  No jewelry, except smooth wedding bands or post ear rings, can be worn while performing any duties.  A list of PPE follows:
