Surestaff is immediately hiring an Edgeband Operator for a client in Belvidere, IL. This company specializes in custom woodworking and cabinetry, providing high-quality components to a variety of industries. The Edgebander Operator will be responsible for feeding, operating, and adjusting the edgebanding machine to apply edge tape to wood parts as specified on production labels. Surestaff is invested in their team members! Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire. Available shift: 1st Shift: 6am-4:30pm Monday to Thursday, 10-hour shifts (40 hours/week) Responsibilities of the Edgebander Operator:
Operate edgebander machine to apply edge tape to wood components.
Read part labels and follow paperwork to identify the correct edges requiring tape.
Change edge tape and adjust machine settings for optimal application.
Inspect parts for quality and prepare them for the next production stage.
Clean parts and maintain a safe, organized work area.
Follow all safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
Required Qualifications of the Edgebander Operator:
EDGEBAND EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. Must have previous experience operating an edgebanding machine.
Proven track record in a woodworking or cabinetry production environment.
Ability to read labels, follow production instructions, and perform basic machine adjustments.
Comfortable standing for long periods and handling light materials.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Willingness to work in a loud manufacturing environment and adhere to PPE guidelines.
