SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Flexo Press Operators assistant for a client in Crystal Lake, IL. The Flexo Press Operators Assistant is responsible for operating automated and semi-automated production equipment to create and manufacture finished products. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($18-$20/hr.) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shifts include 3rd 10:00pm-6:30am Monday-Friday. Training will be done 1st shift 6:00am-2:30pm Monday-Friday. Responsibilities of the Flexo Press Operators Assistant: Assist the press operator in: 1.) Preparing all items needed for production: -Find set up material appropriate for the job and load machine. -Ensures correct printing plate/gear side and preps the gears for the cylinder. -Double checks ink from pre-press, PH/Viscosity and pumps up the press. 2.) Verifies all necessary controls and items for the running conditions. - Proper key/gear -Rewind direction of material, etc.3.) Remove ups rolls from press and put in assigned area for set up material.4.) Return unused ink5.) Relabel excess material and call for return.6.) Keep printing department clean and in order, maintain supplies.7.) Clean printing plates from each production run and safe portions of press. Required Qualifications of the Flexo Press Operators Assistant:
H.S. Diploma or GED
2+ years roll to roll, wide web, min of 40” wide, central impression Flexo press operator experience (2+ yrs press op and 5 yrs total machine op exp)
Ability to read and use a Ruler/Tape Measure
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds w/out help
Ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness
