Surestaff is immediately hiring Coating Department Slitter/Slicer Machine Operators for a plastic coating facility in Hampshire, IL. This role is essential to ensuring product quality and efficiency by operating slitting and slicing machines, monitoring production, and adhering to strict safety standards. Surestaff is invested in their team members! All employees are offered competitive pay ($18/hour) as well as access to a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shift:
2nd Shift (5:00pm – 5:00am, Mon–Thu, some Fridays) Overtime is frequently required depending on production needs.
Responsibilities of the Coating Department Slitter/Slicer Operator:
Set up and operate slitter/slicer machines according to job specifications.
Check product setup against order requirements and submit master roll samples to Quality Control.
Review slitting schedules for special instructions and verify roll labels.
Ensure proper carton, pallet, and core sizes are used.
Monitor running rolls, removing all non-conforming material.
Measure finished rolls to ensure proper finished sizes.
Fill out production reports and labels for rolls returned to stock.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Adhere to all Company Safety Rules and Policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications of the Coating Department Slitter/Slicer Operator:
High School Diploma or GED required.
1–2 years of machine experience preferred.
Must be efficient, quality-conscious, and safety-oriented.
Ability to accurately use a tape measure.
