SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for an experienced Machine Mechanic Trainee for a large, established client located in Niles, IL. The Machine Mechanic Trainee will ensure that equipment and machinery are working at optimal efficiency to produce and manufacture products safely and on time. This position will perform electrical, mechanical, sheet metal, welding, and pipefitting duties which involve replacing, repairing, and cleaning equipment and/or component parts. This position will entail standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 50 pounds during shift. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp to hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($21/hr) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire. Available shifts include 2pm-10pm (Monday-Friday) Responsibilities of the Machine Mechanic Trainee:
Perform preventative maintenance on Mail Stream Machines.
Repair all production equipment as needed.
Perform general housekeeping duties.
Update equipment, machinery, and tools as needed.
Comply with GMP, safety, OSHA, and audit standards.
Preferred Qualifications of the Machine Mechanic Trainee:
3+ years’ experience in a production, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
Previous mechanic or machine maintenance experience in manufacturing or production.
Proven track record of effective problem-solving.
Strong communication skills.
