SURESTAFF is immediately hiring General Laborers for a client in Lake Villa, IL. As a General Laborer, you will perform various duties on the packing line in the meat and food industry. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($15.50-18/HR) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shifts include: 2:00pm-10:00pm General Labor Responsibilities:
Work one of several position on the packaging lines.
Feed various tubes of processed meat into machines that will remove packaging and casings and either freeze, cut or grind the meat.
Perform quality control checks and pick out improperly sliced meats as they pass by on a conveyer
Conduct temperature checks of refrigerated and frozen products.
Perform end of the line duties, such as palletizing completed boxes.
Wear proper PPE when needed to keep a safe and sanitary workspace. The clients provides PPE when needed such as N95 Masks, Hair Nets, Beard Nets, Lab Coats, Rubber Gloves, and non-slip, water resistant boots.
General Labor Requirements:
Bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish
Ability to work overtime when needed
Comfortable lifting between 20-40 lbs. and standing, walking, bending, and twisting frequently.
Comfortable working with food products in a cold, wet environment
