SURESSTAFF is immediately hiring for a Metal Fabricator for a local company in Carol Stream, Illinois. The Metal Fabricator is responsible for outputting metal photo products. The Metal Fabricator is expected to work well with all coworkers in a team environment while responsibly practicing safety precautions and excellent housekeeping.
SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation $18/hr as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). This position is a temp to hire position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Adheres by all safety rules including keeping a neat and tidy workspace, wearing appropriate clothing and footwear to walk the plant floor and stand for prolonged periods of time • Proactively communicates any issues or concerns with urgency • Take direction from and reports directly to their direct supervisor, Post-Production Supervisor • Manually moving material by hand or cart from one department to another, as well as to and from workstation. • Occasional use of keyboard to enter data • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Required Experience: • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required • 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Must have good judgment of image quality, design, and good identification of image defects. • Willingness to train on equipment necessary to fulfill job requirements • Proficient in comprehending, speaking and reading English (as first or second language) • Ability to read, write short correspondence and interpret customers’ requirements. • Ability to work with and comprehend basic mathematical concepts. • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as within a team. • Extraordinary organizational and housekeeping skills. • Detail oriented with an ability to prioritize multiple projects at the same time.
