SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for an experienced Seamstress in The Colony, TX. As a Seamstress for SURESTAFF, you will work in a professional alteration environment and be responsible for high-quality sewing and garment alterations, with a strong focus on wedding and quinceañera dresses, including:
Bridal & quinceañera dress alterations
Hemming, bustles, zipper replacements, and fit adjustments
Hand and machine sewing
Garment inspection and finishing
Previous experience is required, specifically working with wedding and quinceañera dresses. Qualified applicants will be required to complete a sewing test prior to placement. This position requires candidates who can work independently, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and take pride in quality craftsmanship.SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temporary employees are offered competitive compensation ($15/hour) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire.Available shift: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMResponsibilities of the Seamstress:
Perform alterations and repairs on wedding and quinceañera dresses
Hem, bustle, resize, and adjust gowns for proper fit
Complete both hand-sewing and machine-sewing tasks
Take accurate measurements and follow alteration specifications
Inspect finished garments to ensure quality standards are met
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding garment needs or issues
Required Qualifications of the Seamstress:
Previous experience working with wedding and/or quinceañera dresses (required)
Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
Ability to successfully complete a sewing test
Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
Experience using industrial or commercial sewing machines
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
Reliable attendance and punctuality
