Are you looking to be part of a winning team and grow your career? We are looking for an HR Generalist for a direct hire position with our client located in Bartlett, IL. The HR Generalist will be a a self-motivated, hardworking, professional individual who can complete tasks successfully with little to no supervision. Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:45pm Pay: $70,000-$80,000/yr.
HR Generalist Responsibilities:• Respond to employee inquiries related to PTO, payroll, health benefits, etc. • Process weekly payroll for 150 company employees and temporary 80 employees. • Track attendance points and prepare written warnings. • Administer and maintain employee benefit program including open enrollment. • Develop and enforce company policies and procedures. • Update employee handbook with current policies relating to federal, state, and local laws. • Handle Worker’s Compensation and FMLA claims. • Respond to unemployment inquiries and claims. • Responsible for OSHA record keeping and annual reporting. • Manage employee counseling and disciplinary program including termination. • Responsible for new hire packets and orientation. • Respond to written and oral requests from third parties regarding employee information for employment verifications, mortgage applications, etc. • Conduct employee training. • Process PTO requests and track days earned and taken based on employee’s anniversary date. • Review and update job descriptions. • Manage 401k enrollment and change requests. • Assist with recruitment by posting ads, screening resumes and scheduling interviews. • Maintain confidential hard copy and electronic documents and records. • Notify Anniversary Awards vendor for certificates and catalogues, purchase certificate frames. • Purchase and prepare birthday cards (English & Spanish) for mailing. • Schedule and execute various employee social events throughout the year. • Performs other duties as assigned.
HR Generalist Qualifications:• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related discipline and at least 3 years of HR experienced required or high school diploma and 5+ years of HR work experience. • Experience with Payroll, Benefits Administration, and Workers Compensation. • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. • Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
