SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Manufacturing equipment maintenance for a large, well-known client in Garland, TX. As a Manufacturing equipment maintenance for SURESTAFF you will be maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical stamping presses and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with V&O, Minster, and Komatsu presses (up to 200 tons) and a solid background in progressive die-tooling, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Must supply own tools and be capable of working independently in a quality-driven, high-paced manufacturing environment. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! Available shifts include: 1st shift 8am to 5pm Manufacturing equipment maintenance Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspect, troubleshoot, and mechanically repair punch presses, including Bliss, Minster, Komatsu and V&O brands including control systems and support equipment.
Maintenance of Clutch & Brake controls, tonnage monitors, light curtains, roll feeds, servo feeds, coil straighteners and payout reels.
Perform and document routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal press performance and longevity.
Collaborate with tooling and production teams to support die setup and minimize downtime.
Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems related to press operations.
Maintain documentation for service records, repairs, and adjustments.
Ensure presses operate within tight tolerances and quality standards, maintaining .001” accuracy where applicable.
Adhere to ISO 9001:2015 procedures and safety standards.
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
Work with minimal supervision and respond rapidly to production issues.
Manufacturing equipment maintenanceRequirements and Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience maintaining mechanical punch presses.
Strong knowledge of metal stamping equipment and related press components.
Must own and maintain a complete set of mechanic’s tools appropriate for punch press repair.
Proven ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and control-related press issues.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical power transmission.
Basic electrical troubleshooting is a plus.
High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications or trade school completion preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in physically demanding conditions.
Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
