Position: International Logistics Coordinator (Direct Hire)Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish)Location: Troy, MI - OnsiteSalary: $60-70K - Includes a Benefit Package and a fun culture: casual dress/jeans, food/snacks Established Logistics Company based out of Troy, MI looking for a polished bilingual Logistics Mexican Carrier Coordinator to help run their freight out of Mexico / NAFTA Lane and has working knowledge of the Mexican Carrier Base.MUST have experience working with Mexican carriers in the past establishing relationships, rates, and guidelines. For example – parts coming out of Mexico are carried to the border then the parts are transloaded onto a truck and delivered to either their Michigan terminal or New York terminal. They have 3 terminals in Texas – McAllen, El Paso, and Laredo. Laredo is the largest. Responsibilities:
Communicate daily with Mexican carrier base to establish coverage on freight entering and departing Mexico.
Utilize our TMS system to update our teams, customers, and carriers.
Plan and coordinate the daily schedule of loads.
Negotiate Rates with current providers, while making sure we continue providing and receiving the same expected service.
Assign, dispatch, monitor and update international shipments, utilizing provided company tools.
Update customers via websites, customer portals, phone and/or emails.
Manage customs paperwork needed to assist partner carriers and/or our trucks crossing the border.
Qualifications:
High School diploma/GED required.
Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software.
2+ years of experience in the logistics field.
Excellent at problem solving.
Ability to work well in an office setting, managing multiple tasks, and being a team player.
Have great communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to be trained and adapt to new procedures.
