SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Inventory Specialists for a large, well-known client in Chicago, IL. As an Inventory Specialist for SURESTAFF, you will work in a fast-paced distribution environment and be involved in all aspects of warehouse operations including:
Shipping & Receiving
Quality Assurance
Inventory Control
SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($18-$20/hr) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shifts include 1st shift. Responsibilities of the Inventory Specialist:
Assist in inventory monitoring and investigations, analysis of discrepancies and irregularities.
Enter data for quantities of various items in warehouse issued and transferred between locations, inventory, and cycle count adjustments into computer database.
Follow daily cycle counts as requested by supervisor.
Record and monitor all items with shelf-life daily and notify appropriate personnel when material has expired.
Prepare monthly reports for cycle count and pick-lists count for monthly highlights.
Prepare and participate in yearly physical inventories.
Receive count/verify incoming orders as requested.
Process damaged or defective stock.
Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with supervisors and management.
Document discrepancies between inventory records and physical stock.
Record inventory data manually/electronically on computer.
Required Qualifications of the Inventory Specialist:
HAACP Certification Preferred.
Forklift experience required.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to collaborate with teams.
Ability to prove dependability and attendance,
Must have strong math and computer skills.
Ability to analyze information gather to identify potential problems or discrepancies.
Willing to work weekends, holidays or different shifts when needed to ensure the business is operational 24/7.
Must be able to repetitively lift/carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull up tp 250 pounds.
Must be able to perform frequent bending, kneeling, pushing, and squatting.
Also, frequent reaching over shoulder, waist level and from the floor.
Willing to take on additional duties as needed.
