Job Description

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring an Invertor Mechanical Technician for a client in Richardson TX. The Invertor Mechanical Technician  will be working with architects, designs, tests, qualifies and documents new and revised electrical systems/subsystems including related analog, digital, power supply, electrical isolation and high voltage circuitry. The Electrical Engineer works closely with other electrical, mechanical and software engineers to design, develop, and support complete systems and subsystems.  SURESTAFF is invested in their team members!  All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation $20 DOE as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision) Available shifts include: Monday-Friday  Responsibilities of the Invertor Mechanical Technician:
  • Repair and trouble shoot problems relating to inverter and communications equipment
  • File reports and record keeping of repair and failure analysis activities
  • Be professional in all aspects of work quality, communications, company and individual presentation
  • Use leading edge safety practices and implement company policies and procedures
  • This job requires working in an electronics lab 
  • This role routinely uses office equipment such as a computer and phone and mechanized equipment such as pneumatic tools, hand or power tools, lifts and hoists, pallet jacks, and ladders
  • Requires exposure to contaminants, hazardous equipment, hazardous conditions, high places, and sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable
  • Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment
  • Requires making decisions that impact the results of co-workers, clients or the company
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • 2 year AA degree or 4 year college degree relating to electrical, power electronics field preferred
  • Vocational, technology training coursework including hands-on training
  • 2 years of experience with solar and/or energy industry services, commissioning, and applications preferred, but on-the-job training is available in some cases
  • Knowledge of solar PV inverter and technology 
  • Experience in general repair, maintenance, and diagnostics of technological devices 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Multiplexer, agile, speed and problem-solving oriented, systematic, and organized
  • OSHA and related safety training such as arc-flash, high voltage training
