SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Laser Cutter Operator for a metal manufacturing client in Garland, TX. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating automated and semi-automated production equipment to create and manufacture finished products. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation $20-$28 as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire. Available shifts include Weekend shift Saturday and Sunday 5am-5pm. Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis. Responsibilities of the Laser Cutter Operator: • Perform daily machine startup and shutdown procedures on laser machines. • Have basic blueprint knowledge. • Use Epicor ERP to log into and out of jobs. • Must be able to regulate and set-up equipment. • Load programs and tools as authorized to ensure operation. • Load and unload machines. • Stage raw materials at each work-center for the day’s production. • Report equipment deficiencies. • Assist in loading and unloading team members’ machines when production requires additional manpower to maintain throughput. • Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of cutting equipment and work area in accordance with company standards and manufactures machine recommendations. • Take instructions from management/lead person. • Ability to train others. • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications of the Laser Cutter Operator:
Ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids.
Strong orientation toward quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Commitment to quality and accuracy of work performed.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations.
