SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Line Leads for a client in Elgin, IL. Line Leads are responsible for the employees, safety, quality, training, record keeping, and output. There are typically around 15 machines or employees on the line. The Line Lead works with other departments such as maintenance and shipping, and also verifies quality and production metrics on paper/in the system. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp to hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($20/hr.) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).
Available shifts include: -1st shift: 6:00am-2:30pm-2nd shift: 2:00pm-10:30pm-3rd shift: 10:00pm-6:30am
Responsibilities of the Line Lead: -Responsible for delivering line key performance indicators (KPI’s) such as staffing, output, quality and material loss. -Ensures all employees are following work rules, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).-Participates in and suggests continuous improvement activities.-Collaborating with maintenance to identify the root cause of machine issues.-Train, coach, and support employees on the line.-Ensure adherence to all standard work processes including all quality compliance requirements. Qualifications of the Line Lead: -Bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish-At least 1-3 years of Lead experience in food packaging-Highschool diploma or GED preferred-Red Zone and Fishbowl experience preferred-Ability to walk/stand for long periods of time during a shift and lift up to 40 lbs. when needed
