Job Description
SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for a Logistics Coordinator for a large distribution center located in Elk Grove Village, IL. The Logistics Coordinator provides system support for the Transportation team. This position is responsible for maintaining ship schedules, creation of shipping documents, and tracking of wholesale orders for food brands through BAAN/SAP/OTM. The Logistics Coordinator will create and communicate shipment schedules, as instructed by Supervisor, through various methods to meet both internal and external requirements. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! Available shifts include 1st Shift 8:30am-5:00pm
Responsibilities of the Logistics Coordinator:

- Monitors and tracks wholesale, to ensure timely delivery to customers by meeting commit dates.
- Works directly with all Shippers and communicates schedule updates and changes.
- Assists in scheduling
- Creates and maintains all loads in BAAN/SAP/OTM.
- Updates and maintains Transportation databases.
- Assist in creation of shipping documents.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications of the Logistics Coordinator: - A high school diploma
- 1-3 years related experience in the transportation industry preferred.
- Ability to analyze reports and draw conclusions/ recommendations
- Strong coordination skills, ability to multi-task and manage to a deadline
- Ability to work with multiple teams, vendors, carrier partners and management
- Strong office skills and the ability to work in multiple computer programs: BAAN, OTM, SAP, Microsoft Excel, etc.
