SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Purchasing Specialist for a large, well-known client in Haltom City, TX. As a Purchasing Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting procurement and planning functions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring materials are available to meet production and business objectives.
The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for material planning, supplier coordination, cost control, and on-time delivery performance. Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of purchasing or procurement experience, strong ERP knowledge, and advanced Excel skills.SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! This full-time opportunity offers competitive compensation ($26–$28 per hour based on experience) along with a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Work Setting: In-person Position Type: Full-time (occasional overtime as needed)
Responsibilities of the Purchasing Specialist:
Analyze material requirements based on production schedules and sales forecasts.
Create, release, and track purchase orders within the ERP system.
Coordinate with suppliers regarding delivery schedules, pricing, commercial terms, and technical specifications.
Perform inventory analysis and demand forecasting to support production needs.
Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and warranties with suppliers.
Monitor procurement and supply KPIs, including on-time delivery (OTD), cost savings, and inventory turnover.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Finance teams.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications of the Purchasing Specialist:
Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or planning roles.
Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, SAGE, or similar.
Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capabilities.
Proven negotiation and supplier management experience.
Strong organizational skills with a results-driven mindset.
Ability to perform technical and commercial analysis.
High level of ethics and professional integrity.
