Surestaff is immediately hiring Calender Roll Machine Operators for a facility in Hampshire, IL, that manufactures asphalt-based industrial and construction materials. This role involves operating machinery used to press and form material to proper thickness and quality standards throughout the production process.
Surestaff is invested in their team members! All employees are offered competitive pay ($16.50/hr), as well as access to a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shift: 1st shift, 6:00 am–2:30 pm, Mon–Fri Overtime may be required depending on production needs. Responsibilities of the Calender Roll Machine Operator:
Operate and monitor calender roll production machinery
Control material flow and adjust machine settings as needed
Monitor product thickness and tension throughout production
Collect and recycle overflow material back into the mill
Communicate with line operators to maintain production flow and quality
Operate scrap belt and pulling roll assembly as required
Clean and maintain machinery and surrounding equipment
Follow safety procedures and maintain quality production standards
Required Qualifications of the Calender Roll Machine Operator:
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Basic math and communication skills
Ability to follow directions and production processes consistently
Ability to work overtime as needed
Manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
High school diploma or GED preferred
