SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Machine Operator Apprentices for a large, well-known client in Glendale Heights, IL. As a Machine Operator Apprentice, you will learn through video/computer assisted programs, as well as hands on mentoring, the skills associated with operation of Automatic Screw Machines.

Available shifts include:-1st shift: 5:00am-3:30pm-2nd shift: 3:00pm-1:30am
Responsibilities of the Machine Operator Apprentice: -Completes computer-based modules and work with assigned mentor/trainer-Learn to operate one or more multiple spindle screw machines, equipped with automatic indexing and feeding mechanisms to perform turning, boring, threading and facing operations of metal bar stock.-Learn to read blueprints and measure parts.-Learn to select cutting speeds, feed rates, depth of cuts, and cutting tools to be used based on experience and knowledge of metal properties and shop mathematics. -Learn to operate bench grinder to sharpen tools. -Learn to stock up machines, rake chips and clean machines during the production process.
Required Qualifications of the Machine Operator Apprentice: -High school diploma or equivalent-Previous mechanic experience-Ability to solve mechanical problems-Ability to spend frequent time standing, walking, reaching, using arms/hands, and bending.-Ability to spend occasional time lifting, pushing, pulling, and tooling.
