SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Machine Operators for a manufacturing company in Batavia, IL. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating automated and semi-automated production equipment to create and manufacture specific products.
SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($16.50/hr.) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).
Available shifts include: Monday-Thursday 2:30pm-1:00am
Responsibilities of the Machine Operator: -Set-up the router by installing and adjusting appropriate tools and holders based on the job requirements -Loads and unloads material on the machine. Operates a forklift in a safe manner. -Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample workpieces. -Maintains specifications by observing and measuring critical dimensions; adjust and reprograms controls as needed; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes-Advises management of tooling requirements – both replacements required and special tooling for upcoming projects -Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions -Assists other production areas/employees when needed and if feasible based on current projects in the router area -Maintain the shop in a clean and safe manner -Keep management apprised of any issues or concerns which would interfere with their ability to perform their job to the best of their ability
Required Qualifications of the Machine Operator: -Ability to understand work orders, shop drawings, schedules, machining parameters, and use of measuring and gauging equipment-Experience with hand tools such as a hammer, screwdriver, tape measure, calipers, etc.-Previous forklift experience-Strong communication and organization skills, and basic math skills -Ability to lift 30–50 lbs. -Previous experience as a machine operator (Edgebander machine experience preferred)
