Job Description
SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Machine Operators for client in Crystal Lake, IL. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating automated and semi-automated production equipment. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp to hire employees are offered competitive compensation $17.50/hr. as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire. Available shifts include:- C Shift 6:00 pm to 6:30 am, W/Th/F and every other Tuesday
- D Shift 6:00 pm to 6:30 am, Sun/M/T and every other Wednesday
Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis. Responsibilities of the Machine Operator: - Prepare machine for production by positioning and securing dies, stops, guides, and turntables.
- Safely and effectively operates thermoforming equipment to produce quality product
- Reads job specifications and previous run data (if available) to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. Ensures job is in order prior to machine set-up.
- Performs required quality testing on products produced.
- Performs required quality testing on products produced, i.e. burst test, drop test, water table test, etc.
- Observes machine operation to detect piece defects or machine malfunction. Makes corrections to alleviate out of specification product.
- Position will entail standing for long periods of the day and lifting up to 50 pounds during shift.
Required Qualifications of the Machine Operator:- Ability to pass our pre-employment Reading and Ruler tests.
- At least one year of work experience, preferably in an ISO light industrial or packaging manufacturing setting
- Able to understand and communicate clearly in English to provide appropriate responses, assistance, and explanations to, customer, supervisors, and coworkers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Physical Effort: Ability to lift and/or move up to 35-40 pounds regularly and up to 45 pounds on occasion with assistance if required. Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, on a continuous seven-day work cycle.
- Good hand/eye coordination to perform quality inspections as needed.
- Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending.
- Visual: Near vision, mid-range vision. The ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness.
- Activity: Sedentary work, active use of hands, arms, and fingers for inspection of product, talking, hearing, sitting, standing, bending, crouching, lifting. Dexterity and preciseness required for machine adjustments and fine inspection.
