SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Machine Shop Operators for a client in Grayslake, IL. The Machine Shop Operator is responsible for operating automated and semi-automated production equipment to create and manufacture finished products. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation $18-$21/HR as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire. Available shifts include 1st Shift. Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis. Responsibilities of the Machine Shop Operator:
Performs a variety of tasks associated with the manufacturing of parts such as stamping, hobbing, assembly, packaging, painting, drilling reaming, tapping milling, countersink duburring and cutting using a wide variety of machine shop equipment.
Process routing operations following standardized methods rates and processes
Present parts for specified inspection and to inspect parts with measuring tools to insure integrity and quality of parts.
Generally meets and exceeds productivity and accuracy goals
Provide reliable solutions to moderately complex problems
Identifies, researches and resolves basic and/or moderately complex issues
Offer suggestions to improve processes and/or systems
Work collaboratively team members to achieve balanced scorecard objectives
Required Qualifications of the Machine Shop Operator:
Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
