SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Machine Wire Cutter for a Computer Warehouse client in Plano, TX. The Machine Wire Cutter is responsible for helping out with cable assembly if needed using the CLS or Schleuniger machine (crimping, stripping, insertion: no soldering, potting or tinning). SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation $16-$20 depending on experience as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire. Available shifts include 7:30am-4pm Monday through Friday. Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis. Responsibilities of the Machine Operator: • Terminate fiber optic connections, strip fiber length, polish fiber, and crimp termini. • Assemble cable connectors and fiber cable. • Read specification assembly drawings and bills of material from a work order. • Recognize cosmetic and functional discrepancies on component and cable assemblies. • Harnessing• Assemble cable connectors and fiber cable according to work instructions. Qualifications/Requirements: • High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) is required. • Demonstrate manual dexterity, use small hand tools, screwdrivers, and allen wrenches. • Must have eye and hand coordination for detailed ability to recognize mechanical fit problems. • Ability to read, understand and communicate work instructions and process procedures. • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision. • Ability to organize, complete tasks and manage time. • Pays close attention to detail with the ability to complete assignments accurately and recognize and help resolve problems. • Knowledge of fiber optic assembly processes, handling of fiber cable and epoxy bonding a plus. • Experience with ISO9001 or AS9100 requirements a plus.
Required Qualifications of the Machine Operator:
Previous experience in production, manufacturing, assembling, and/or machine operating.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude is essential.
Flexibility to work overtime and extra shifts as needed.
Experience reading and interpreting production specifications a plus.
CLS or Schleuniger Machine knowledge
