Job Description
SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Machinist for a client in Rockford, IL. The Machinist is responsible for operating automated and semi-automated production equipment to create and manufacture finished products.
SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All employees are offered competitive compensation of ($25.00-28.00/HR) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).

Available shifts include Monday-Friday from 6:00am-4:30pm. Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis.
Responsibilities of the Machinist:
- Review samples, drawings or blueprints
- Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job
- Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping
- Select appropriate machines and position or load material for a job
- Monitor machine while working and identify any issues
- Check output to ensure consistency with specifications
- Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
- Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages
Required Qualifications of the Machinist:
- Previous experience in production, manufacturing, assembling, and/or machine operating.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude is essential.
- Flexibility to work overtime and extra shifts as needed.
- Experience reading and interpreting production specifications a plus.
