Surestaff is immediately hiring a Main Phone Operator / Sales Support Assistant for a manufacturing company in Rockford, IL. This company is a long-standing provider of high-quality tool steel materials and is looking for a reliable team member to manage multi-line phone operations and support the Inside Sales Department. The ideal candidate will be organized, friendly, and able to multitask in a fast-paced office environment. Surestaff is invested in their team members! All employees are offered competitive pay ($18/hr) as well as access to a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shift:
Monday to Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:40 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch)
Responsibilities of the Sales Support / Phone Operator:
Answer incoming calls professionally and direct them as needed
File quotes, including some light lifting and bending
Retrieve work orders from the printer, staple, highlight, and stamp special instructions
Enter quotes and orders into the system accurately
Provide administrative support to the Inside Sales team
Communicate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow
Maintain a clean and organized front desk/reception area
Required Qualifications of the Sales Support / Phone Operator:
Prior office or phone-based customer service experience preferred
Strong communication and multitasking skills
Basic computer/data entry skills
Comfortable learning internal systems and handling light clerical tasks
Must be able to follow instructions, stay organized, and work with minimal supervision
