Direct Hire 1st Shift Maintenance ElectricianNo sponsorship is allowed for this role now or in the future Location: Huntley, ILJob Type: Full-time,Direct Hire 35+/HR with a comprehensive hourly benefit packageFirst Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm The Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for ensuring equipment readiness and operational efficiency across all production and building systems. This hands-on role requires the ability to perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks independently. Maintenance Electrician Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electric utility facilities, equipment, and machinery.
Maintain light power circuits, electric motors, lighting fixtures, and other related systems.
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with machines and equipment.
Prepare and review work orders, reports, and other documentation.
Ensure timely completion of preventative maintenance activities using SAP.
Assemble, install, and test electrical wiring and equipment.
Inspect electrical systems and components for hazards and defects.
Provide support to engineering and production teams as needed.
Advise management on equipment safety and reliability.
Maintenance Electrician Qualifications:
Associate degree in Technical, Industrial, Electrician, or related field preferred.
5 years of experience or a trade school certificate required.
Knowledge of maintenance principles, safety regulations, and trade-specific procedures.
Proficiency in PC software including Microsoft Office and CMMS programs.
Excellent problem-solving and technical skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Journeyman or Industrial Electrician Certification Preferred
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 75 lbs.
Manual dexterity and ability to operate hand tools and equipment.
Vision abilities include close vision and depth perception.
Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and heights.
Work Environment:
Exposure to moving mechanical parts and electrical hazards.
Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions and extreme temperatures.
Must wear personal protective equipment when required.
