Job Description
SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for a manufacturing company in Indianapolis, IN. The Maintenance Mechanic will ensure that equipment and machinery are working at optimal efficiency to produce and manufacture products safely and on time. This position will perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatical and hydraulic duties which involve replacing, repairing, and cleaning equipment and/or component parts as well as other building repair projects as needed. This position will entail standing for long periods of time. Shift: 1st, 6a-2:30p, Monday-Friday with potential overtime. Pay is based on experience.
Responsibilities of the Machine Mechanic: - Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.
- Repair all production equipment as needed.
- Perform general housekeeping duties.
- Update equipment, machinery, and tools as needed.
- Comply with GMP, safety, OSHA, and audit standards.
Preferred Qualifications of the Machine Mechanic: - 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years' experience with Preventative Maintenance and interfacing with PM software
- 3+ years' experience with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic
- Previous mechanic or machine maintenance experience in manufacturing or production.
- Proven track record of effective problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience with the repair of CNC, Punch Press, and/or Molding equipment would be a plus.
