Maintenance Technicians General Job Function:Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.Primary Areas of Responsibilities
Set-up machines for production.
Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned.
Troubleshoot and fix problems during production.
Change lot codes as required.
Keep up with all personal and company tools.
Keep tool box clean and organized.
Keep maintenance shop clean and organized.
Complete assigned Preventative Maintenance work orders and actions.
Perform ongoing evaluations and suggestions for equipment, maintenance or upgrades.
Provide production support as required.
Adhere to all company policies and rules.
Able to follow current good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
Obtains and identifies materials and special tools.
Estimates the cost for each work order including material, labor and total cost.
Maintains a backlog of work orders awaiting scheduling for ready and non-ready work orders.
Maintain a professional courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.
Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
Must be able to sit/stand for up to a full eight hour shift in the performance of job duties.
Must be able to bend, stoop, push, and pull in the performance of job duties.
Must be able to use fingers bilaterally and unilaterally.
Must be able to work in various temperatures and environmental conditions.
Must be able to maintain amicable work relationships with fellow employees and perform all essential job functions in an environment that will sometimes include increased work levels of work-related stress.
