SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Material Handlers for a packaging client in Chicago, IL. The Material Handler is responsible for supporting operations, maintaining production flow, providing accurate production ticketing and paperwork while keeping work area organized and clean. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp to hire employees are offered competitive compensation of $22.05 per hour as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shifts include two rotating shifts: 1st shift, 6:00am-6:00pm and 2nd shift, 6:00pm-6:00am.Responsibilities of the Material Handler:
Perform manual work such as cleaning, painting, loading, unloading, transferring and stacking materials and supplies, scrap and waste.
Use hand truck to move materials to and from storage areas.
Perform janitorial duties and various cleaning jobs using hand and powered equipment.
Other general labor tasks such as but not exclusive to the following: off-line wrapping of cans, sorting pallets, EOR slides, top frames, chipboards and other packaging materials for damage.
Keep work area clean, neat and orderly.
Record and maintain records as required.
When required, covering critical vacancies
Perform other tasks as needed
Required Qualifications of the Material Handler:
Forklift certified
Previous warehouse experience
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Flexibility to work overnights and weekends.
