SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Meat Trimmer for a food manufacturing client in Chicago, IL. The Meat Trimmer is responsible for operating automated and semi-automated production equipment. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($22/hr) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire. Available shifts include Monday-Friday 6:00am - 2:30pmOvertime is available on a first come, first serve basis. Responsibilities of the Meat Trimmer:
Handle raw material by taking it out of box or combo bin to begin preparation.
Using a knife, trim the excess meat, joints, and cartilage per the product specification requirement is met.
Place the trimmed raw material as directed for cooking process.
Reads job specifications and previous run data (if available) to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
Observes machine operation to detect piece defects or machine malfunction. Makes corrections to alleviate out of specification product.
Position will entail standing for long periods of the day and lifting up to 50 pounds during shift.
Required Qualifications of the Meat Trimmer:
Previous experience in production, manufacturing, assembling, and/or machine operating.
Flexibility to work overtime and extra shifts as needed.
Experience reading and interpreting production specifications a plus.
