SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Mechanic Assembler for a client in Mt. Prospect, IL. The Mechanic Assembler is responsible for the assembly of mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of the production line.

Available shifts include 7:00am-3:30am Mon-Fri.
Responsibilities of the Mechanic Assembler:
-Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the assembly process.
-Utilize hand-held tools such as torque drivers (other hand tools as well) as needed.
-Production control - keep accurate records of production quantities and time.
-Report on issues, malfunctions or defective parts, pieces, tools and materials.
-Maintain inventory of product in work cells.
-Perform quality work checks to insure the product(s) meet quality standards.
-Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation and other communications when defects identified.
-Rework or replace assembled equipment and products and document (IPA) according to what is needed.
Qualifications of the Mechanic Assembler:
-Previous experience in production and assembly preferred.
-Ability to assemble products using hand tools, battery powered and air driven tools.
-Ability to read bill of materials list and instruction sheets and fill out the proper paperwork associated with the product.
-Ability to put together boxes and corrugated packaging in order to package the products.
-Ability to lift up to 25-30 pounds occasionally.
Training will be provided in relation to the tasks that are performed in the assembly and packaging process.
