Job Description
We are seeking a direct hire Mechanical Design Engineer for our manufacturing client in Grayslake, IL. They are a leading manufacturer of highly engineered mechanical and electrical accessories for the marine industry. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will work in a fast-paced distribution environment with a schedule of 8am-5pm and an annual compensation of $85K. What you will do- Design, develop then lead projects from inception to completion
Requirements- Ability to design small mechanical and electro-mechanical mechanisms with tight tolerances
- Ability to create 3D models and 2D drawings accurately and efficiently in SolidWorks
- Understanding how to dimension components and assemblies
- Ability to design products taking into account manufacturing processes and process capability
- Ability to not only design/develop products but be a leader and manager of the program
- Marine industry experience/knowledge preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing along with 3+ years of experience
